GL: pump outs

Many of the marinas not located in a municipality must pump into a holding
tank then have the tank pumped out and the sewerage disposed of at a
treatment facility. The initial cost of a pump out setup is minimal compared
to fees, maintenance, etc.. A Charge of $10 is well within reasonable.
Unless you are in a remote area there usually are many choices. That is not
withstanding the Canadian canals where the pump outs ranged from free if you
stay there (only one) and $25 to $50 ca and there are very few convenient
pump outs. I was surprise that the parks did not provide pump out stations
on the canals even for a fee given the number of small boats using the canal
park system.
