Maybe it should. Just yesterday, a man fell off his 51' boat at his
dock behind his home two houses from mine. The tide was running at
about 2 knots and swept him out into the river. And guess what?, he
COULDN'T swim. Fortunately for him, a gentleman in a small center
console boat saw him and immediately rescued him. He brought him to my
dock where we got him up on deck, then he proceeded to give him holy
hell for not wearing a life jacket. Good for him!
Oh, and when I am working on my boat, at sea or at the dock, I always
wear my SOS preserver. And I CAN swim.
