Cruisin' we are not! Have been hung up for a week now, awaiting parts on
this or that.
Now we find the generator has to be rebuilt because of a short in it. This
will delay us until Tuesday, so we are still dreamin' about our trip to
Gaveston while stuck in Warwick, RI.
By the time we pull out of here, the whole boat will be new; it seems we are
replacing about everything in it. This week we installed a Raymarine C120
System because the GPS in the old Raymarine system was missing and the rest
of it didn't seem to reliable. The heads had to be cleared and a new pump
installed up front.
The dinghy water pump isn't working and that is another wait-a-minute- vine
item. The dinghy is a 14' jetboat with a new engine. That is supposed to be
fixed by Monday.
Had to replace the Microwave Oven and lock it in place.
The bimini top leaked so we had to coat that with sealer to water proof it.
The batteries are all new, replacing dead batteries.
We *hope* to start out the Narragensett Inlet on Tuesday,
but that is only our hope!!!
If the generator can't be fixed right away, it will be pulled out, repaired
and shipped to us where ever we are. The same goes for the dinghy. As a
temporary measure, we'll put in a small portable generator for this cruise
and take a loaner inflatable with us.
