GL: Charts Again

Ralph,

Both XP Pro (NTFS) and Vista Ultimate 64 - on two different laptops. Well,
perhaps, for the first time in my life I've made a mistake! What do you call
the phase immediately after POST and before the OS starts to load with that
bar at the bottom of the screen? This Avast! feature used to be manually
available, but now it *appears* that if the software detects a virus it
cannot remove, it then offers the option.

Ron

Ron
What version of Windoze were you using when you removed the virus in DOS
?
Windows 2000, XP and VISTA use the NTFS file system which is not
accessible from DOS. If you boot to DOS you cannot access the files on
the hard drive.
R.
