GL: Erie Canal mast assistance

Mike asked....

Does anyone on the list (you sailors out there) have a
recommendation for marine yards on either side of the low bridges that can
help us man-handle the mast down and back up again?

Dennis suggests...

Waterway Guide's Great Lakes edition suggests several facilities with mast
stepping capability on both the upper Hudson just south of Albany and at
the Lake Ontario terminus of the Oswego Canal. Some of these are self
service and others full service. I am sure any can fill your needs.
