GL: Champlain Canal

I stumbled out of bed this morning and looked out of the window and almost 
went blind.  Looks like they filled my section of canal (between locks C7 
and C8) last night ... and it then promptly froze over, leaving a lovely 
skating rink!  The glare on the ice from the morning sun was really 
bright.

Still too cold for boating, but it's a definite sign of spring!!!!!   Can 
summer be too far behind?
