There is a basin and boat ramp "behind" the Statue. You go in south of the
Lady at G29 and travel past where the tour boats go into the island and
continue toward the ramp. There is a large basin with a charted 8'-17' of
water. Holding is good. I believe that the ramp in question is part of
Liberty State Park. We never went ashore and I don't know of a dinghy dock.
I'm not sure of the ramp or its security since we anchored there overnight on
two different occasions and left the next morning. I would think that Ellis
Island is within walking distance.
