GL: Fender Boards

On Bay Pelican we have 3 large orange fender balls basically just for doing
locks and the occasional rough marina wall.  These can be collapsed and
stored flat.  Having done over 200 locks in the last 3 years we have
amortized these fenders at about $1 per lock.   Find that the round balls
cover many mistakes of the captain as they roll, move up and down and
otherwise don't get caught.  Haven't used the fender boards I have in locks,
just in piling situations.
