GL: FENDER BOARDS

I take pleasure craft through the Welland Canal from 20' to 150', and  over
the years have seen many boats damaged from using fender boards .I recommend
using round fender balls as they will hold there shape .  I find that the
turbulence from the lock when filling the boat will move and fender boards
will get jammed between boat and fender. and damage fiberglass. I will use
them if the owner wants to, but after explaining to owner on how the lock
fills we do not use them, and have never damage a boat over the years I have
been doing this.  Most important when buying fenders make sure they are proper
size not to small .
