would kinda roll up and down the wall as the boat was raised or lowered."
I had a fairly new coat of Awlgrip on the hull and figured I didn't want the
gunk on the lock walls ground into my paint. Using standard fender boards
and a bit of care with boat hooks, I came away with not one single mar in
the boat's sides after 36 lockings.
