GL: Using Fender Boards

Jim,

I like the horizontal rolling fenders idea, and I especially liked the 
"photo"  '(======)'

Do you find that lock-wall dirt sticks to them and then grinds against your 
hull?  Or is this not a factor in actual practice?

I found that fenders hanging horizontally , '(======)', worked best. They 
would kinda roll up and down the wall as the boat was raised or lowered.
