Having enjoyed the Smiths Falls-to-Kingston portion of the Rideau
Waterway. I must concur and highly recommend the Rideau to anyone.
It's a special place on the planet, witness the UNESCO World Heritage
Site designation.

We're going back in the fall, specifically to cruise the
Ottawa-to-Smiths Falls portion. Despite what Joe says, I'm betting it
will be a delight, too, because of all the attractions in Ottawa, the
flight of eight locks between the Parliament Buildings and the
Chateau Laurier, and the appealing village of Merrickville.

If time permits, we hope to cover all three sides of the Canadian
Triangle: Kingston to Montreal on the St. Lawrence River, Montreal to
Ottawa on the Ottawa River, and the Rideau from Ottawa to Kingston.

By the by, at TrawlerCrawler.net, there's a forum dedicated to the
Canadian Triangle: http://tinyurl.com/cdntriangle
