Looper Family:
Katie & Elizabeth McPhail (recent college grads from Seattle) are doing a
fast Loop in a 16' Duroboat skiff. We had the pleasure of meeting them at
Dog River Marina in Mobile, AL,last evening and hosted them aboard Kaos for
a night of air conditioned comfort. They truly are a delight, and their
story and adventure is inspirational. They departed Chicago just two weeks
ago and after a weekend in Pascagula MS, will be heading around the the Big
Bend on the Gulf of Mexico and up the East coast to Canada, Lake Michigan,
and completing their journey in Chicago sometime in August. . Depending upon
how you look at things, they are either way behind, or way ahead of the
Looper pack. If there any ex Loopers along the route, they would very much
appreciate a dose of Looper hospitality and sharing of local knowledge.
Their journey is being blogged at www.boatinglife.com if you wish to learn
more about them. If you can offer any support to enhance their adventure,
email the info to:

sibbs at live.com and they will contact you by cell phone.
Their cell number is 425-301-2313

If all goes according to plan, they will likely catch current Loopers
somewhere in Georgian Bay. They are flying the burgee so watch out for the
yellow skiff and introduce yourselves - you'll be glad you did. As parents
and grand parents, lets's do all we can to keep these young women safe as
they continue the adventure.
