To all of you interested in stopping at the Fort Edward Yacht Basin, by
Lock 7, Champlain Canal:

Right this moment there are 2 large dredges sitting in our harbor, complete
with some 200 foot long barges... and they are blocking the whole place,
except for the very shallow sand bar that nobody can cross.

The dredgers will direct you to cross the sandbar ... but DON'T DO IT ...
unless you wish to use the Tug 44 Towing Service to haul you loose. And
the Tug 44 Propeller Repair Service, and... and ... and ... you get the
picture.

Contrary to what the dredge company tells you, the Yacht Harbor will be
unavailable until further notice. I see it taking some more weeks.

We still have the floating docks above Lock 7, near my house, those are
deep draft and available at all times (except Monday night, next week I
have 24 steamboats and Tug Urger filling up the place). No services, but I
can make my car available if needed, and we do have a terrific restaurant
within walking distance from there.

I'll post weekly updates on this, (or whenever I get around to it). There
will be a notice when it finally re-opens.

Fred
