GL: meeting friends western Trent-Severn

Roberta & Randy:

Midland is probably the most convenient town with all you are looking 
for.  Bay Port Yachting Centre is a large facility that would 
probably let you park there for a while.  Midland is a fair size town 
with LCBO, groceries, hardware, etc., and the marina has service 
facilities if you need them.

I have never stayed there, but many folks on the Great Loop have, and 
give it top reviews.

Have your friends drive up to the Big Chute and watch you "lock" 
through.  Then they can meet you at the marina afterward.  Be sure 
they have a camera at the Big Chute.
