GL: Number of loopers

Ahoy List,
 
I am sitting here at a marina on the east bank of the Hudson River, midway  
between New York City & Albany.  Since mid April, thru May and now  into 
June, I have counted about 350 vessels going north, more than half of them  
were sailing vessels.

When I did the loop, I had timed it to travel along the Atlantic  to NY in 
the Spring, NY to Chicago in the Summer, Chicago to Alabama in Autumn,  and 
complete in the Winter in Florida.  I avoided all the extremes of the  
weather and was out of the hurricane area.
