There is a good market in Burlington, several blocks uphill and there is some kind of city/campus bus that as I recalled was free -- or very cheap.? We
took the bus up the hill, filled up our backpacks and walked back to the harbor.??? Many shops in the retail district there.

Vergennes also had several markets and restaurants about a 15 minute walk, plus a wonderful library, all along the main street.? Vergennes is one of
those places you want to keep secret!!?? Hopefully not too many people will venture up Otter Creek -- its just a wonderful place to spend a couple of
days.
