I don't recall sea trials being a time to let a neophyte to your boat
(possibly a neophyte to boating in general) handle the boat in complex
mooring operations. You are hoping for a sale, not possible damage and
other negative experiences.
I hate it, but this is a time freighted with heavy legal implications and no
time for fiddling around.
