GL: Defever 49 for Loop

I believe that some people feel smaller is better. My wife and I did the
loop in a 54' Pama, pilot house with 4' of draft. We were very comfortable.
I personally disagree with smaller is better, but then again I like to be
comfortable. When we were in a remote and wanted to explore, we used the
dink. We certainly were not the largest boat doing to loop.

IMHO, there is some personal preferences one needs to make when choosing a
home for a 6,000 mile trip.

I don't think anyone is "dis'ing" the DF 49 per se, but rather stating that
it is not the optimum boat for the loop based on other considerations.
