GL: Defever 49 for Loop

It may not be the optimum boat for the loop but it was on my short list  
when I bought my current boat. Also on the list was the KK42 and a couple of  
other pilothouse boats. The key feature for being on my list was 
"pilothouse".  One will encounter all sorts of weather on the loop. Why be cold or hot 
when you  can be comfortable? As a late great sailor once said "Gentlemen 
don't go to  weather". My adaptation is that Gentlemen don't have to be out in 
the  weather.

I don't think  anyone is "dis'ing" the DF 49 per se, but rather stating 
that 
it is not  the optimum boat for the loop based on other considerations.
