This can be a very nice boat for the Loop. I know of two more 49's that are
still active Eagles Nest and Silver Boots. They will be on the TN this fall
and probably down to FL after.

We came down the flooding Mississippi, then up the Ohio and Cumberland Rivers
with Eagles Nest. A nice boat. And they did not need a crew. It was handled
by the couple easily. Some would argue that a larger boat is easier to handle
than a small boat. There is something about size that provides stability.
And I'm sure there are plenty of Loopers who have done the loop with a 5'
draft without touching.

There is no end to the discussion of what the right loop boat is. There are
pro's and con's to every boat.
Get what you can, get what you like and learn how to use it...do it and
enjoy the loop.

Learning something new every day!
enjoy every sandwich....
