What a mistake to forgo all the Canadian waters on your Great Loop
trip. The Trent-Severn, the Georgian Bay, the North Channel of Lake
Huron are among the best boating waters of the Great Loop. With a 17
ft. fixed air draft, the Rideau is a bit iffy, but might be doable.
We over wintered on Lake Erie the first year we were on the loop and
did the Bass Islands the next Spring.
