GL: Water heating

As a former voyager by sailboat I know about economizing on water use. The
most efficient way to shower when onboard and away from readily available
fresh water sources is by using an (obviously new) plastic agriculture spray
can. Fill it with warm water, pressurize this with the integral hand pump
and then opening the nozzle will result in releasing a fine spray - almost a
mist. Soap in, wash and in the same manner wash the soap away with the
sprayer. It achieves its purpose using much less than a gallon of water.

we learned to bath in the Indian way using a minimal amount of water.

Heat about 2 quarts of water on the stove. Soap yourself with the first

quart, then use the second quart to rinse yourself..."

I'm also told that one can avoid a shower and laundry an extra day by

wearing one's undies inside out. I myself prefer to have a large hot water

heater instead.
