GL: Tankless Electric Water Heater

Mine runs on 120 Volts or engine heat. Once the engine heat has cooked the
water, it stays hot for hours. Once anchored or docked, shorepower or
generator is needed.
I would think that a tankless design would need a lot of power to produce
hot water, perhaps more than some shore power connections will provide.
Does anyone out there have a tankless unit?

What heats your water while you're anchor? Are you going to run the
generator? Will it do a good enough job using 12VDC to heat? And as Fred
states, nothing nicer than having plenty of hot water after a short
cruise.
