GL: Tankless Electric Water Heater

Ken,
You might look into a modern marine type water heater. Mine is only 11
gallons, and fits into about a 2 foot cube stainless case. One advantage
to these is the engine cooling antifreeze gets looped through the heater so
each afternoon when you arrive at port, the engine has cooked your water
for you for free.
If you ever want a long long shower, or if you ever have a teenage daughter
on board, you simply run the main engine while showering and you have hot
water pretty much forever.

Subject: GL: Tankless Electric Water Heater
Hi All,
I need to replace the water heater on the boat, and was wondering if
anyone
has had experience with the tankless electric water heater. There is just
the
two of us on the boat most of the time, and hot water use is minimal. No
dish
washer, or clothes washer, and short showers. The unit we have now is a
residential unit, and I'm just not comfortable with it. Base has a
considerable amount of rust, and I do have a small amount of water in the
bilge in the same area as the heater. Any info will be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you,
Ken Tucknott
