Several people have asked what kind of boat we have for cruising the loop that
has only a 100 mile range. The answer is a regal 2765, with a 8.1 liter v8. We
get at best 1.66 miles to the gallon and the tank is only 70 gals. Since
asking about fuel. we have added 20 gals in jerry cans.
We trailered the boat
from Sacramento Ca to Traverse City in 5 days and launched 6/21.. We began our
trip on the northern loop on the 25th and passed through Charleviox. Mackinac,
De Tour, Blind River. Little Current, Killarney and are now in Byng Inlet.
Tomorrow we head for Parry Sound. The big advantage of our boat is that we can
travel when the winds are light in the AM.So far, we have strong winds every
afternoon. We plan to do the Trent -Severn and then the erie and Hudson River
to just north of NYC. I am concerned about whether the Erie will be open. I
have been on this list for many years and we are finally getting to take our
cruise. Thanks for all the help. ps.our internet access is spotty, we only
have it at public wifi and some marinas. Our web site is
