Thanks very much for the excellent feedback and advice.
>Are the two of you used to anchoring out a lot? Some people love it.
We love it.
>Check with her regularly to see how she's liking it and what could be done to
>make it better.
Excellent advice on how to keep the Admiral happy.
>Maybe you don't make it to florida. Darn, you still get a 6
>week cruise that takes you down to the carolinas.
I'm kind of hoping we'll go all the way to Marathon as the goal is to
jump across to Cuba. (We are Canadians, so that's easier for us to
consider, at least until the Obama-Clinton era kicks in.)
>- Groceries (unless you only eat 3 meals a week.
Yikes! I completely forgot groceries in my first draft of the budget.
>One final thought: If 6 weeks is all the time you have, go and go now. If you
>can squeeze more time out you can slow down and really enjoy it more. At 300
>miles a week you are just going to get a taste of what each area has to
>offer. When traveling we cover 100-150 miles per week and sometimes we feel
>like we are traveling too quickly.
Hmmm . . .
>Your fuel consumption of 5 gph looks light, particularly at a 25 kt
>cruising speed.
At Last! is a small powercat powered by twin Yamaha 100s. On two-week
cruises around Lake Ontario, 5 or 6 gph is what we've averaged. We
can run at 25 knots if we want and conditions permit, but often we
mosey along at 10, so maybe the average will work out to 10 to 15
knots.
>How much do you weigh. That will tell the tale.
Equipped for cruising, 8,000+ pounds.
>RLG??
Resident Love Goddess.
>Use www.ActiveCaptain.com and start looking......
>Great site, especially for what you are asking.
>I do all of my trip planning with ActiveCaptain.com because we like to
>anchor out most of the time.
ActiveCaptain is one of our staples.

Always great to hear what other people use for WX on the Web in their locales.
