After 5 years live-aboarding on the ICW on a Monk 36, here's my opinions.
85 to 95 NM(?) seems like an awfully long day, especially the short sunlit
ones we have this time of year. The Chesapeake doesn't look comfortable
until at least Wednesday. I'm seeing 2 or more foot waves and 10+ knots
until then. (http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/AN/630.html,
http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/AN/534.html). We never travelled unless
waves were <=2' and winds <=10kts. But then we didn't have a schedule.
But if you're determined, www.activecaptain.com is a good resource, and
Dymer Creek off Fleets Bay (37 40N, 76 21N) has plenty of snug little
anchorages for westerlies.
