Also, many smaller boats are equipped with Porta-Potties, which would seem
to be far better than a bucket, and which can be emptied anywhere there is a
toilet.
Has anyone any idea what kind of fines, if any there are for mere possession
of a Porta Potty on a boat?
Seems to me that it would be hard to prove it was in use on the boat and not
merely in transit if not attached to the boat.
If attached, would it be considered to meet the requirements for possession
and consumption of liquor on board while moored or anchored? It seems to me
that many small recreational fishing boats and pocket cruisers have them on
board and a tiny bar sink and alcohol stove so they qualify as a party boat.
Seems to me that these are two different laws, and the definitions might
vary between them?
