"John & Judy
you are mischaracterizing the discussion that most of us are having here. I
never advocated pumping any waste overboard. My issue is with the method of
prevention required. I read the laws as saying you have to disconnect the
head discharge hoses, that locking out the Y-valve is not sufficient. There
have been several comments that that is not necessary, lock out is
sufficient. Others say pulling head hoses is no big deal; it is a very big
deal on my boat. So who is right here is the discussion, NOT whether it's OK
to dump. I don't recall anyone advocating dumping.

Ed is correct, I don't think anyone wants to dump but to jump through hoops
for no real reason is crazy. Next thing will be that the quick connects
will be illegal as well, and why not they would allow some one to cheat.
The point is fine, imprison, confiscate the boat, neuter the owner, what
ever, if you are caught doing it. Otherwise make it simple (and
disconnecting hoses is not simple). BTW this goes for the US as well not
just for the folks up north.

I have a real problem with Canada Geese here in NC, they just leave
droppings all over. Maybe I can get an ordinance that they need Goose
Diapers. That sounds easy but I'd bet it is not. :>)))
