There is a description of a cruise called the Southern Circle Cruise at
www.charlesculotta.com. It takes you on a number of southern waterways
including:

 Tenn-Tom to the Tennessee River
215 miles on the Tennessee to the Cumberland River
Up the Cumberland to Nashville and then to Selina the end of navigation
( where there is no dock but the President of the Chamber of Commerce has
offered to mark a tree with a yellow ribbon that we can tie up to for our
visit ) I am serious.
Back down the Cumberland to its intersection with the Ohio River
Down to Cairo, Missouri where the real fun begins and we enter the
Mississippi
 Then we visit Paducah, Kentucky
Continue down the mighty M to Memphis
After which we arrive at the Arkansas River, the real reason for this
entire exercise
Turn west on a 446 mile (one way) detour to Tulsa, yes the one in
Oklahoma!
