All hands--
I'd like to compile a glossary of cruising routes in North America.
We all know what the Great Loop or Great Circle Route is.
The Down East Circle Route, when started from New York City, follows
the Hudson River, Lake Champlain, Richelieu River, St Lawrence River,
Gulf of St. Lawrence, Northumberland Strait, Strait of Canso,
Atlantic Ocean south along the coast to Cape Cod and Long Island
Sound before returning to NYC.
What do you call a cruise from Albany, New York, via the Erie Canal
to Lake Ontario, St. Lawrence River, Richelieu River and Chambly
Canal, Lake Champlain, Champlain Canal, and Hudson River back to
Albany?
What do you call the loop from Kingston, Ontario, to Ottawa via the
Rideau Canal, to Montreal via the Ottawa River, and up the St.
Lawrence River to Kingston?
What are other cruising routes in North America?
