I totally agree with Alan unless you have some other reason, counter 
clockwise is the only way to go. However, start in May and spend the summer in the 
North Channel and Great Lakes. You then follow the sun south as well as the 
currents. You will miss the spring floods on the Mississippi and the fall 
Hurricanes in Florida and Gulf Coast. You can also take advantage of the Looper 
friendships and functions.
