Friday August
21, 2009 GREY GOOSE arrived Troy NY locked 14' up from Hudson River saltwater
into the fresh water and we are now alongside dock at the Van Schaick Island
Marina just north of locks on the west side before first low clearance bridge
with 20' vertical clearance - we will recline back the mast in the morning.
Re-fueled 7 nm before Albany at Castleton Yacht Club/Marina diesel was
$2.85/gallon and we had traveled 450nm and burned 169 gallons or 2.66nm/gallon
with 63.4 tach hours on the main engine  = 2.66gph making 7.09 knots overall
on economy cruise 1100 rpm. Needless to say we are very pleased with our 55'
steel trawler working our way home to Astoria Oregon in 2010.
