Valentine carries the shortest rifle we could find; a lever action, stainless
steel Marlin 45-70. For handgun range protection multiple 12ga or 25mm flare
launcher are adiquate with red meteor flares.Jon.

My wife and I plan to retire on board our boat in
the next few years , and  
travel . 
We plan to take a handgun with us for
protection. 

I am sure there are others who have weapons on board. Is it
possible with  
advanced paperwork to get a permit to take a gun into Canadian
waters ? 

I know the Bahamas allow guns  , what other problems or places
have  gun 
owners encountered ?

Not attempting to start a gun debate , just
want to know the facts.
