You folks do understand that I have now contacted US
Customs and that the
Swedish couple will be going to their office 3 or 4 days
prior to their
leaving the marina? At that meeting they will get whatever they
need to
present to the Charleston, SC Customs Office. After traveling the ICW,
they
will then clear Charleston enroute to Bermuda.
The regulations quoted do
not apply to a vessel that is NOT entering the US.
This vessel is a US vessel
which is having its flag changed to the Swedish
flag. It is a US boat that has
been purchased, repaired, reflagged, and is
leaving the United States. Maybe
you guys are getting the digest version of
this List.

did not understand that. So I take it the digest version of the list does not

The first post of
yours I saw never mentioned they would be taking the boat out of the U.S.
right away. Did Customs tell you the cruising permit rules do not apply while
moving the vessel around before leaving?
