Unfortunately, Horseshoe Cove doesn't exist anymore as a protected cove.
Winter storms over the past few years have completely removed the neck on
the north side that protected the cove, and it is now just an open shallow
bay, with no protection from the weather or from the wakes of all the marine
traffic heading past for the Shrewsbury River.

The neatest good anchorage is behind the rock breakwater at Atlantic
Highlands, just to the southwest.
