GL: NYC wakes 79th st. BOAT BASIN moorings?

Hi All, Sitting in Baltimore, 63 degrees today, slack wind, sea trial the boat for the seasons opening cruise to NYC--ETA MAY DAY--May 1, 

Pete Seeger is turning 90 and there is a concert for the CLEARWATER at Madison Square Garden May 3rd., I have tickets.

I was planning to stay for a few days-a week at the boat basins mooring.$30day.

I have a traditional steel trawler, low windage, keel, flopper stoppers- So the question is, given that the CLEARWATER will also be at the Boat Basin--that the area is a Park, has a dingy dock-some security. This sounds doable for a few days--????Waddayathink?
