Re: Any suggestions on what card?

My wife and I are starting the loop in September and are choosing Altell for
our aircard. Alltel customers now have access to Verizon towers in addition
Alltel towers since the two companies have recently combined. The Alltel
base air card plan is better than Verizon's, however, in that it does not
impose a limit on use, where Verizon's does. The Verizon limit is enough
for general use, but heaven help you if you start streaming videos of sports
events, movies, etc.!

As an aside, my wife and I will have three computers on board: my work
computer, her work computer, and a laptop for personal use (corporate will
not allow us to put personal programs on our business computers). Three air
cards would be expensive. We found a solution in a router that accepts a
USB air card. This will send a secure wi-fi signal to each of our
computers. Haven't set it up yet, but we are pretty confident we came up
with a workable fix.
