GL: Illinois River

Well, we still sit here and wait for the river to open. We arrived at
Heritage Marina,242.4, on 13 Sep. Five boats pulled in on Friday and we
pulled in on Saturday. There were record floods here when the river crested
on 15 Sep. We still sit due to effects of the flooding. The river is closed
by the Coast Guard to pleasure craft from about mile 199 to mile 50. Yes we
can leave, but no place to go. I feel like we are living our own version of
the movie Ground Hog's Day. Hey, its 6:03 and I am hearing "I Got You Babe".

As the river opens above us, more boats are coming in. There are now at
least a dozen boats here waiting for the river to open. Things are getting
stacked up.
