We are back in the U.S.A. At Clayton New York on the South shore of the St. Lawrence River watching the great lakes steamers and the ocean going merchant ships to by in the St. Lawrence seaway channel 1 mile off our beam.We spent almost a week in the Canadian Park in the 1000 Islands,absolutly beautiful forested islands with docks and trash pickup, the mooring pass we purchased to stay on lock walls is good for these docks. In Clayton we picked up our mail, refueled ($499/gal) and provisioned at US prices. I am at the public library on their computor. We plan to wait for calm winds to cross Lake Onterio to Oswego N.Y. ( right now it is blowing 25kts with lots of whitecaps). We may need to make a night crossing if the wind lays down. We will do some shopping at Walmart in Oswego, and then cruise the New York Canals until our flight from Syracuse to Onterio in Oct 10. Valentine has given us no trouble except that she drinks $4.99/gal booze. Kristal our 3
 lb chihuahua has been the perfect boat dog and a wonderfull addition to the crew. Best to all, Jon, Nancy, Valentine & Kristal.
