Whether or not the insurance covers it is less relevant if it is covered. 
The goal is to AVOID having damage and then an insurance claim.

Fred - play it safe. Haul the boat somehow, no matter what it takes. Dont 
mess around with freezing stuff.

You will sleep well at night if you do it right.
