Fred, I vote NO on letting your baot settle in the mud for the winter.
Frost is powerful stuff. It can crack the concrete foundation of a house
or lift a house. I would pay the costs to lower (or lift) the power line
for the half an hour or so to allow your boat to pass. You have too much
invested in your boat. We live where frost is a fact of life and it does
amazing things every year. Or hire a crane to lift the boat into your
yard. Don't leave it in mud which will freeze hard as concrete and in the
process expand and crush anything in its way.
