Fred, I'd be very concerned with the freezing/thawing process. In you neck
of the world the frost line can go down 3 feet so there is a tremendous
amount of expansion as the mud freezes. Consider if you let a boat freeze
in. It will usually damage the hull which is why bubblers/circulators are
used are used.

I've wet stored lots of boats where the ice was 3 to 4' thick but never
around the hull with the water circulating.

I would vote a big no on a frozen mud berth...better check with your
insurance also.
