The problem with Charleston is there are almost too many marinas to choose
from!
The more popular ones are:
1. Charleston City Marina which also includes Ashley Marina. Undoubtedly
the best marina in Charleston.
2. Stono Marina which also includes Buzzards Roost Marina. A little way
out of Charleston but is the best choice to leave your boat. On the Stono
River.
3. Charleston Maritime Center within walking distance of the old market is
too exposed to waves from the harbor and has fixed wooden docks.
4. Charleston Harbor Marina is actually in Mount Pleasant on the opposite
side of the Cooper River. The marina extends out into the open water of
Charleston Harbor and is exposed to wind in the harbor.
5. Ross Marine. This is the place if you need work done while you leave
your boat.
6. Isle of Palms and Tolers Cove marinas are a little way out but complete
the list.

Dear Loopers,
I am looking for a recommendation for a marina in Charleston, SC. I wish to
leave my boat there for approximately 3 weeks next April in a safe, secure,
reasonable, and convenient location.
