Joe Manelis,
I have a Brownie's hookah unit, though I have only used it in
a few feet of water, inspecting the prop. But it did bring to mind my first
dive experience with scuba tank, in a motel pool with a friend. I went in the
water, and started breathing incorrectly and failed to get enuff air into my
lungs and ran out of air and made a panic surface. After my friend showed me
what I was doing wrong, I did just fine and really enjoyed the experience.
The moral of the story, get some schooling in diving before you buy... it's
very important.
The brownie is a good unit, it works nicely.

Subject: GL: Wanted to buy: BROWNIES Diving Unit
Am looking for a Brownies
dive unit, either an Explorer 280 or an Explorer
390 for use onboard my
trawler in the Keys this winter.
Also am looking for any comments from
boaters with prior experience with a
hookah dive unit.
