We?held our boat at a dry lot in Looe Key. However it's at mile marker 97 which is about 40 to 50 miles north of Marathon.
They charge 10 per foot per month.
Sorry,I can't find the paper work for the name and number but you can call the Tom Thumb gas station in Looe Key,also at mile 97 on Highway 1, and ask them to look out their window for the name then look it up. Or you can call the Looe Key Chamber of Commerce and ask them. I don't believe I lost the stupid paperwork.
They don't have electricity for each boat but as one blogger said you can use solar panel chargers. That's what I did and they worked great. I bought mine at Harbor Frieght for 40 dollars each. I used one for each battery.
He charges 65 dollars to launch and retrieve.

I hope this helps.

Hi All...

I am looking for a place to put my 44' trawler during December, for about 30
days...someplace in the middle keys... like Marathon... at a REASONABLE price.
It's that work 'reasonable' that is the key here... and frankly that means
'cheap'...LOL..

I am pretty sure I can leave it on a mooring ball in Marathon, BUT WOULD RATHER
HAVE IT ON A DOCK AND PLUGGED IN TO ELECTRICAL. Sombrero has a place for me
but it's over $900 for a month.. and nobody will be onboard and using the
marina facilities so that seems a tad high in price.

Does anyone out there have any prior experience in this area and perhaps a
suggestion.

BTW... in case anyone is interested.. we are the boat that was hit by the
tornado last winter in Everglades City, and the boat is all fixed and we will be
splashing it in November in Marco Island. Total repairs were over $40k....
ouch.....a bite even with insurance.
