GL: Ill River

It is open. We have made it down to Grafton, finally, from Ottawa where we
were held up for 13 days. We had to sit again at mile 107 for a day and wait
for the last section to open. 

Lots of debris and current as we headed down. We could see why the last
section took so long to open. It was easy to see where the levee was being
eroded.

 We saw our first refrigerator floating down today. The river is still very
high. We saw many camps today that even though they were on stilts, they had
"scum" lines half way up. Feel sorry for those folks. 

We enter the Mississippi tomorrow, headed to Hoppies.
