I have always found that BARKEEPERS FRIEND works very well in removing this type of rust. Find it in the household cleaner aisle at any supermarket. Fast and easy. Much easier and cheaper than using metal polish. The rust will come back no matter what you do. Wipe the SS down every once in a while with Barkeepers and it will be minimized. Warren
