Most gold vinyl films have a very limited durability and are not suitable
for exterior usage.

However, there is material called Sign Gold. 

 SignGold is 22 karat genuine gold, vaporized and sealed into the
"underside" of a clear, one mil weather resistant vinyl (Tedlar TM PVF) with
a permanent acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on a plastic release liner
for use with all computer aided signmaking systems. 

This product offers a 10 to 15 year lifespan.  It comes in both a small and
large "engine turned" pattern.

There is another material called Vinylefx that when properly installed
provides up to a 5 year lifespan.  It also comes in an "engine turned"
pattern.

Most sign shops can obtain and work with either of these products.
